DTC+: The one time I got really angry

Hitting the desk in rage is something I’ve only done a few times in my life, back when I was gaming in high school/university.

It happened again only once after that.

Why so serious?

A client of ours ran a one-off test and the test ended up producing better results than any test we had run for them until then.

It was also on a component we should’ve tested way earlier.

Nevertheless happy for them, to me it was completely unacceptable that they beat us to testing that area of the website.

We have smart clients and experienced operations, but in my mind, when it comes to otpimization we should always be much much better than them.

That’s the only way we can be confident in the value of our product.

Our clients make us better though.

It was the spark that created our Needle Movers CRO methodology which has received praise from industry OGs, as well as been crushing it for clients since.

The failures, they teach you.

Combine that with an obsession to proactively improve and you have a cocktail for greatness.
