Business Lesson - Giving up will kill you

You might not know this, but I also have a clothing brand - DULO.

My co-founder and I have been building it as a side project for the last 6+ years.

On and off.

Our consistency has not been the greatest.

Here are some thoughts I wrote a while ago, but few people saw.

I wanted to share them with you today.

Valid for any venture, whether it's a business or building a personal brand:

My biggest takeaway from building @weardulo approx 6 years ago is that we (me and my co-founder) gave up on stuff waay too early.

We were relatively early to starting a podcast, a vlog, a blog, a newsletter, etc., building an online presence in general.

We had the right approach, we were on the right platforms, our starting quality wasn't even that bad.

What we failed to do though is stick with it.

Discouraged by numbers, we gave up on experiments and types of content way too early.

Looking back, if we just stuck with it, not even keeping in mind that quality would've of course improved, we would've been in a totally different place as a business now.

People who started with us and were guests on our first podcasts, while they themselves were starting to build an audience, just by sticking to what they were doing, are quite far ahead.

However, this is a marathon, we don't plan on making the same mistake again and this time, we will stick with whatever we are starting, even when the numbers are low or non-existent, if only for the sake of not writing this again in 6 years.
