DTC+: The 50 line rule

I used to answer the same questions daily:

"How should we do X?"
"Where can I get more info on Y?"
"Where can I find Z?"

Everything lived in my head, then I travelled for a week and came back to chaos.

There was no other way to scale the business, we needed an operations manual.

All processed documented.

And here are the three rules that guide it:

  1. 50 lines max per role. If you can't explain someone's daily workflow in 50 lines, it's too complex.

  2. One rule, one place - Document it once. Link to it everywhere. A "Single Source of Truth"

  3. Steps, not explanations - "How to do X" not "Why we do X." The team needs action, not philosophy.

If you’re an operator, you need an ops manual, otherwise you’re just navigation chaos.

And one thing about chaos - it doesn’t scale.

Have a great one,
Julian

P.S. If you know a 8-9 figure brand looking for CRO, give me a shout, we expanded the team and have the bandwidth to choose 1-2 more brands to work with.
